The Centro Médico Episcopal San Lucas Cureus Channel showcases high-quality research generated within our institution and through approved collaborations.

We focus on, but are not limited to, the specialties of Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, and Anesthesiology. Other research specialties may also be represented, such as Radiology, Dermatology, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, reflecting the diverse interests of our Transitional Year residents. Our publications include clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and public health and epidemiology studies. While our work primarily addresses the Puerto Rican communities served by Centro Médico Episcopal San Lucas, we also publish multisite and collaborative studies when relevant.

Physicians, residents, and medical students (with approval from the Research Coordinator and supervising physician) are eligible to submit. Institutional Affiliation Authors must be affiliated with Centro Médico Episcopal San Lucas, formally collaborate with our institution, or have written permission to publish—typically granted through an official letter of authorization.

We accept original research, longitudinal and follow-up studies, case reports, and quality improvement projects with clinical relevance. All submissions must comply with Cureus editorial guidelines and adhere to ethical research and publication standards.
